It all started with a 2am run to the hospital, thinking that Christies water might have broken. Not taking any chances, we went with 99% probability that we would be returning home. When we first arrived we were told that it was false labor and that they would run some other tests just to make sure Mom and the Baby were both doing well and everything going as planned. When the results came back we were told everything was fine and that they would like to do one more check up on Christie before she left and guess what?! She was now 4cm dialated! All I can say is that I am damn proud of Christie and how she handled her labor! Watching the birthing videos in Childbirth class got me kinda scared about what would soon be approaching... But Christie was able to focus and deliver Summer Elizabeth with no problems with her or the baby! Even now after the birth she is handling the healing process like a trooper! She has gone through so much to bring us a wonderful daughter and I just love her to death. We had some great nurses and doctors over at UCSD Hospital and a wonderful Doula named Connie to help with the delivery! Here are the pictures! Enjoy! |
